SENIOR COMPANION PROGRAM

Senior Companions are volunteers who provide friendly home visits to seniors who are isolated in their homes. Most of us take for granted our daily interactions with others-the warm smiles, friendly conversations and neighborly gestures that help us feel connected and worthwhile.

For men and women who are isolated by the lack of transportation or nearby family, a visit from their Senior Companion can make a big difference. Sharing a cup of coffee, a walk in the park, a trip to a museum or a simple birthday celebration brings pleasure and meaning to their lives.

Becoming a Senior Companion is as rewarding to the volunteers as it is to the seniors they serve. Volunteers develop new friendships, receive valuable training and reap the priceless benefit of knowing that they've improved the lives of others.
